Cosy comfort, character and that view
Our visit was marvellous – completely relaxing in the best fitted out lodge/cottage we have ever stayed in with the most awesome views and the friendliest local mob. I left most of the kitchen essentials I brought in the box as you have thought of it all including cling wrap and a dish brush. The place was spotless, the firewood plentiful, the beds comfortably firm with really good pillows and plenty of space for the three of us to spread out on the lounges with that view front and centre. We changed over the kitchen gas bottle on Friday night closely watched by a brushtailed possum who then examined us up close and personal on the verandah. We saw him again on Saturday night when he came around the front deck to check us out inside. The neighbourhood mob of wallaroos visited regularly and one mum with joey was particularly friendly especially with Jess when she sat on the edge of the verandah. The group of grey kangaroos came in this morning while we were packing up and checked us out while having a drink – more photos and close encounters. The panoramic view of the valley and the Barringtons in the distance changes with the light, the cloud, the fog and rain and is simply stunning and with the fire going and a glass of red it is just about perfect. We had such a wonderful stay that we are seriously planning a return.

Tranquil, Views - Perfection!
A wonderful birthday weekend away with the girls! The first thing you notice is the view from the back deck... breath taking, especially at sunrise or sunset. The kangaroos and birds hang out right next to the lodge and don't startle easily. So much fun to watch. The lodge itself is cozy and well equipped, games, kitchen and pantry items. We brought our own tomato sauce, spices and extra paper towel, which came in handy. The fireplace is really easy to operate and the owners ensured plenty of wood. Everything was very clean, the beds were really comfortable, we never ran out of hot water (5 woman showering) and there were plenty of towels and blankets and cushions for extra comfort. The fire pit out the front is great for toasting marshmallows. *Two things to note: The iPod dock is for iPhone 3. Bring an adapter. Arriving in the daytime, the trip up the mountain is narrow and long and finding the lodge could be trickier, as are are a few around. Plus then you get to watch the sunset! The hosts were lovely and really helpful from the moment we booked. Thanks for the bubbly surprise in the fridge! Will definitely be staying again.

Excellent for views and kangaroos!
We had a great long weekend at Arinya Lodge! The views are amazing and there's a great feeling of peace and relaxation perched there at the top of the mountain. Plenty of kangaroos with Joeys in the pouches grazing around the house. The children loved the fireplace and we cooked dampers on the outside fire, which was loads of fun! The cottage is very well maintained, comfortable and clean with a renovated bathroom and functional kitchen (you'll need to bring your food as it is a good thirty-minute to the nearest shop). Situated in Eaglereach resort (a huge area with large lodges all tucked away from each other) we enjoyed the resort's games room with a pool table and table tennis, as well as the tennis court (5-minute walk). Tennis rackets, balls and even petanque boules in the cottage! With so many activities and nearby walks you don't need to drive anywhere, plenty to do! Highly recommend.

Stunning property, amazing views!
I stayed at Aryina 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend and his parents who were visiting us from the UK. We were so glad we choose this place as it has everything you need for a fantastic weekend away, the view is sensational and the cabin is stunning. We are regular traveler's across NSW and often rent a weekend getaway (at least once every 3 weeks) and I honestly haven’t stayed anywhere as perfect as Aryina. Pulling up to the cabin (I say cabin but it’s a 2 story house with a cabin feel) we were instantly hit by the amazing view across the valleys, the wildlife surrounding the cabin was amazing, my in-laws are from the UK so the fact there was wallabies’ and kangaroo’s wandering around made this place extra special. The owners are so helpful in every way, they were really attentive throughout the booking process, texting us to make sure we had received the instructions and texting us to make sure our stay was going well, small touches make a massive difference and their attitude and care certainly show by how much love goes into this property. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, it has every pot, pan and cooking utensil needed along with tea, coffee, sugar and milk… we were even greeted with a welcome note and bottle of champagne in the fridge which was a lovely touch, there are loads of booklets and leaflets you can read on info in the local area which was really helpful. The house is really cosy making this place ideal for the winter as well as a summer getaway, the log fire in the lounge gives the whole house a really welcoming feel, along with a supply of wood you can use . The shower was great with instant hot water and a really powerful water flow, both bedrooms were a great size and the mattresses were really comfy on both beds. We had an amazing stay and really made my in-law’s trip here extra special, cooking marshmallow’s on the outside fire was a memory we will all take away with us. Thanks for an awesome trip, we will definitely be back!!

A perfect wilderness escape
After arriving at Arinya, it only took a few hours for my family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 6 and 7) to feel completely at home, wonderfully at ease and very, very happy we had discovered this special place. A day later and we were so relaxed all four of us had turned to jelly! Arinya is somewhere you can disconnect from the rest of the world, and reconnect to the things that are most important in life. The view is possibly one of the most amazing I have seen in all my years of travelling, and to be surrounded by kangaroos and goannas and brightly coloured lorikeets makes this a quintessentially Australian experience. We will be back - thank you so much for sharing this slice of heaven with us. xx

Absolutely Perfect!
We stayed over the New Year's period and it was the best way to ring in the new year. The cabin is quaint and charming with magnificent views. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or nice family trip in the Vacy area, I highly recommend you stay at Arinya. We look forward to staying at the lodge again.

Amazing vista and surrounded by nature
Magic location, literally on the top of the mountain with magnificent views from dawn to dusk. Lodge includes everything you need, BBQ, shade umbrellas, bird seed for feeding the king parrots, binoculars, games and the general pantry items. The wildlife is abundant with multiple families of wallabies and kangaroos, very friendly and very much part of the Arinya experience - kids absolutely loved the wild life ! The other facilities were great too, kids particularly loved the pool. All this and just a short drive from our home in Newcastle. Communication and instructions were friendly and easy, highly recommended stay for couple or small family who need to unwind from the rat race. Thanks again.

Amazing Arinya
I had booked a weekend for my wife's birthday at Arinya so I could take her for a nice lunch at Bistro Molines in the Hunter Valley region. We pretty much had an idea of the place from photos on the net but once we arrived we realized we were wrong. It was even better. As soon as we arrived kangaroos and wallabies were running freely all around the cabin. The view from the deck is breathtaking. It is virtually a look-out to the valley plain below. The cabin is secluded, clean and snug. Besides food which we bought prior to arriving, it has all the essentials, even a small pantry. In the morning while eating breakfast out on the deck a King Parrot flew over our heads and landed on the rails next to us waiting for a feed. During our first day we even were lucky to pat a joey carried in its mothers pouch. If you are looking for a peaceful and in touch with nature place to stay I can firmly recommend Arinya.

Ah-mazing!!! Five stars all the way!
We booked Arinya as a last minute escape for our wedding anniversary and it was the perfect escape to totally unplug from the world. In fact, Arinya is so secluded from other guests on the resort that we didn't talk to anyone other than each other the whole 2 days we were there. The cabins is tastefully furnished, equipped with lots of quality comforts - loved it!!! The friendly local wallaby's, kanagroos and their Joey's were right on our doorstep morning, night and in between and a friendly magpie joined us for breakfast too! We really can't recommend this place highly enough, we've stayed in a few cabins in the Barrington region over the past few years and this was definitely the best.... we're already talking about planning a return visit! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise!

JUST PERFECT!!!!
We booked the Arinya lodge for my husbands birthday. We wanted a peaceful relaxing weekend away and Arinya was simply perfect.. from the moment we stepped through the door we felt right at home. Arinya has everything you can possibly need and more - a bbq, fireplace, books, dvds, an awesome sound system, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed and of course the breathtaking views! We didnt want to leave and believe me you wont want to either!!

We love going to Arinya for our annual weekend escape. The cabin is beautifully presented, and super cosy. Peter and Ann are gracious hosts (loved the surprise waiting for us in the fridge!) and the booking process is super easy. The surrounds are tranquil, with the locals "hopping" in each afternoon for a visit. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal and the four poster bed in the main bedroom is dreamy. Waking up to that incredible view each morning was a gift, and we loved our stroll down to the Labyrinth each day. Thanks so much for providing us with such a wonderful way to recharge the batteries! We'll be back!

We had the most amazing time at Arinya. It's just awesome. The sunrise was best of part of our trip. The lodge is beautiful and definitely clean and neat.
I will put my experience on Fb page soon.
Thank you so much Archana & Patrick.
